City Took Over Drug Warehouses in Pesanggrahan

The city administration keeps trying to take over the assets controlled by other parties. One of them is a drug warehouse belongs to Pesanggarahan Sub-District's community health center (puskesmas) at Jalan Palem VIII, RT 01/08, Petukangan Utara, South Jakarta.

Such warehouse has been operated nearly 14 years by Suryanto Pasla (66), a superintendent of contractor puskesmas building. Besides residence, the building also rented to scavengers as used bottle and plastic storage over five years.

"Since 14 years ago, sub-district apparatus has tried to take over the land, but they failed," said Head of Pesanggrahan Sub-District, Eko Suroyo, Friday (10/24).

Suroyo expressed, in 2000, Suryanto had made a moving letter, but it was never realized. Even the sub-district staffs been threatened when they appealed him to immediately vacate the building.

Until now, the effort was successful. Suryanto and his wife Uci Suciyati (64) agreed to move from the land that has been occupied for 14 years.

"We had met Mr. Suryanto last Thursday and he realized his mistake and is willing to move," he expressed.

Based on beritajakarta.com observations, Suryanto and some workers began to dismantle the warehouse. "There is no compensation, but only welfare money," he uttered.
